Supplemental Health Equals Added Peace of Mind
Cancer and Heart Disease are the leading causes of death, according to the CDC* – more than all other causes of death combined. Consider a supplemental health plan that covers costs not already included in your Medicare or another health insurance policy. A Supplemental Health Plan reaches past restrictions and limitations and can help with out of pocket charges and recovery care assistance.
- Benefits are paid directly to you or your designated beneficiary in one lump sum
- Get a quote quickly – there are minimal health questions (if any, for some policies)
- Supplemental health plans include Critical Illness, Accident Expense and Treatment and more
It’s the unexpected that can often throw your life into a tailspin. Be sure you have coverage that allows you to focus on recovery after your diagnosis – and not on worries about how to pay for it.

Watch the video to help understand the difference between being an inpatient in the hospital or an outpatient receiving observation services!
Sometimes circumstances aren’t what they seem…
And it’s all because of one item on your hospital chart.
Are you classified as an Admitted patient or are you an Outpatient, receiving Observation services?
The care can be similar – maybe even exactly the same – with a hospital bed, testing, nurses and doctors all involved. But if you don’t meet the criteria from Medicare as an admitted patient, you might be in for a big surprise.
The fees for Observation care can be high and your benefit coverage can be drastically different including medications and nursing home facility charges. You may even need to pay coinsurance as a Medicare patient who is classified by the doctor as receiving Observation services. Click here to read more about the differences between hospital inpatient and outpatient care.
The Notice of Observation Treatment and Implication for Care Eligibility Act (The Notice Act), finalized in 2017, requires hospitals to inform a patient within 36 hours of outpatient observation or inpatient status. Be vigilant in asking questions and getting answers. Get the care you need without any surprises. Click here to see frequently asked questions about hospital observation care.

I am so glad that I found my Medicare Options agent, Bob K.! He knows exactly what plan is the best for you & if you qualify for extra help because of your income. I have met with other agents to discuss Medicare Advantage Plans & they were ok, but Bob is very knowledgeable on all the plans! I trust him completely.
